Holopoint Interactive

Projects by Holopoint

We have had the pleasure of working with brilliant clients on a range of amazing projects over the last few years. Encompassing a wide range of industry sectors and end clients, not all of our work can be viewed in the public domain.

Below you can see a selection of our projects in action. Some of them have been for our clients, others we do in our spare time!

V.I.E.W

V.I.E.W (Virtual Interactive Environment Walkthrough) allows quick and easy environmental visualisations in your web browser.

Best imagined as CAD on steroids, the system can contain varying degrees of functionality. From simple room familiarisation as seen and used here by The Indie Games Room, or as a more complex system such as a virtual market space, V.I.E.W can be quickly and easily adapted for your requirements.

V.I.E.W is delivered directly through web browsers as 3D interactive environments and in video format as required.

2IC Demonstration

2IC (Interactive Instructional Content) is a system that allows your product or its instructions to be demonstrated interactively with your customers.

This system is perfect for use with anything from a basic process like changing a car tyre through to technically complex or dangerous product lines such as firearms.

Civil Visualisation and Survey

Designed with community consultation in mind, this voting and survey platform collects not only real votes as cast by the participants but can also report back a wide range of information from the engagement.

This system can be used to communicate a new development in a virtual world that includes before-and-after comparisons.

The voting and survey platform is easily scaled to incorporate self-paced surveys, participant behaviours, and to show multiple developments over a given time.

Eidomics

Created as a visualisation tool for cancer research at the University of Iowa, Holopoint developed a real-time rendering system that displays the spread of cancer in the lungs.

In this example, pre-computed simulation data is imported into the visualisation system and interactively presented with a variable time scale.

Rotorhead

In conjunction with Melbourne studio Transmission Games, Holopoint developed the visuals for a proof-of-concept helicopter gunship game entitled Rotorhead over the Australian Summer of 2008/09.

Using video game ready art assets, the Holopoint team worked rapidly and iteratively to realise the vision of the Transmission designers.

All audio was produced by Transmission Games. Copyright remains vested with Transmission Games.

North Kensington

The first of many transport simulations developed with Sydac, North Kensington is a purpose built proof-of-concept for a wrap-around theatre screen.

In order to achieve the wrap-around effect Holopoint created a special rendering method to ensure compatability with the system.

North Kensington was premiered with great success in London 2008.

SNAP THAT!

Created for the Department of Foreign Affairs via the Media Resource Centre and in conjunction with I Love Biscuits, SNAP THAT! featured as the official game for the Australian Pavillion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.

Available in both English and Chinese, SNAP THAT! is a browser based game that is targeted towards Chinese primary school students who wish to learn more about Australia. It offers interactive vistas of Austalian states and territories, and allows the player to create scrapbooks and memorabilia of their interactive Australian experience.

Master Thief

Designed with a broad audience, short play times and simple controls in mind, Master Thief is a casual sneaking game where players must grab all the loot and escape undetected.

Master Thief's original build was developed in under two weeks for playtesting at the Indie Games Room in 2010. It was received very positively and is still under development.

With creative use of products and branding Holopoint can easily and cost effectively make games of this style designed for marketing, including online social and competitive features.
